Cozy foi um dos melhores bateristas britânicos, membro da Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, do Black Sabbath e formou um trio com Greg Lake e Keith Emerson. Além disso, acompanhou Jeff Beck, Robert Plant, Gary Moore e muitos outros. Em 96 ele participou da turnê que marcou a volta do grande Peter Green aos palcos e, infelizmente, pouco mais de um ano depois, faleceu num acidente de carro.
