After eight years, our molluscan president left the building. Like Paul, the german octopus, he's a lucky guy. He has received a modernized country with a low inflation rate; four well planned social programs which he merged in one; all state-owned inefficient companies were privatized and so on. He has done nothing, the Nation went well by its own.
On the other hand, if our industries increase their production in 5%, there will be no more electricity; our portuary docks are the most expensive and slowest; we have almost no railroads and only 6% of our roads are paved.
Yes, he's very popular and his govern has a high approval. What can I say? He's not the only idiot, nor the biggest one.

Iggy Pop - The Idiot (1977)

Depois de mais de dois anos da dissolução dos Stooges e de uma estada voluntária em um hospital psiquiátrico, Iggy Pop queria provar que não era o grande desperdício musical que se pensava, e que ainda era capaz de produzir e instigar. Nisso ele contou com o amigo de longa data David Bowie, que escreveu com ele todas as canções e também produziu o álbum. Também está aqui toda a banda do Bowie e, dada a semelhança do timbre vocal, um distraído poeria até pensar que é um disco dele.

Porcupine Tree - Coma Divine (1997)

Gravado ao vivo em Roma durante 3 concertos em março, o disco representa bem a primeira fase da banda, pegando mais do lisérgico The Sky Moves Sideways ao obscuro Signify. É também uma homenagem aos prog-fãs italianos, que muito contribuiram prá divulgar a banda. Chris Maitland dá um show a parte.

Procol Harum - Shine on Brightly (1968)

Procol Harum foi oficialmente formado em julho de 67 pelo pianista e cantor Gary Brooker. Na verdade, poder-se-ia dizer que ela começou 4 anos antes com a formação da banda The Paramounts, na qual já estavam o estupendo guitarrista Robin Trower, o BJ Wilson, o Fisher e, claro, o Brooker. E se pensarmos na parceria entre Brooker e Trower, a coisa começou bem antes, em 60. O Procol deu a largada ainda sem o Robin Trower. Eles tinham o baixista Dave Knights e estouraram com o single A Whiter Shade of Pale. Trower veio depois e eles também agregaram o que se poderia chamar de membro oculto, o letrista Keith Ried, que nunca subiu ao palco.
