Sam Apple Pie - Sam Apple Pie (1969)







Sam Apple Pie nasceu num subúrbio de Londres e se tornou uma das mais festejadas atrações nos clubes e festivais. Participaram da primeira edição do festival Glastonbury e no festival belga de Amougies eles fizeram jams com Frank Zappa. O som deles era o boogie-blues rock e o sucesso os levou a ter seu próprio clube de blues, chamado Bottleneck.
No final dos anos 70 a formação da banda mudou e um novo álbum só foi lançado em 1973. Após isso veio outra formação mas a banda atuou entre 1974 e 1975 como a Vincent Crane's Atomic Rooster. Manteve-se ativa até o final dos anos 70.
