Brainchild foi uma banda inglêsa que fêz uma mistura bem interessante de prog com jazz. Esse é o único disco deles e foi gravado em 69, logo após e no mesmo estúdio que o "In the Court of the Crimson King" do King Crimsom — com o mesmo engenheiro, Rob Thompson, inclusive.
