A Thee Image foi formada em 1975 nos Estados Unidos e nesse mesmo ano lançou seus dois únicos álbuns pelo selo Manticore. Ela era liderada por Mike Pinera, ex-guitarrista da Iron Butterfly, Ramatan e Blues Image. Creio que este auto-intitulado seja o álbum de estréia e nele o que vale é o talento individual dos músicos, especialmente do baterista.
